I donapos;t recall feeling that confident when the Sox were down 3-0 to the Yankees in 2004, or when they trailed Cleveland 3-1 in 2007. But in both cases, the bats woke up, the pitchers threw well, and the Sox rallied back to earn World Series trips.

I do not believe that the 2008 Rays are a better team than either the 04 Yanks or 07 Indians were. Heck, all three teams are really good teams. The issue that makes this yearapos;s comeback hard to envision is just how hurt/slumping so many of the Sox players are right now. But can it be done? Of course it can. And if Dice-K has his A game again tomorrow night, and the Sox muster up enough offense to win the game, itapos;s all different. Theyapos;ll have some momentum, theyapos;ll have history, and they may manage to get TB sweating a bit thinking about just how badly they donapos;t want to have it go down to a Game 7. So yes, the Sox are barely breathing/slumping/injured, but they arenapos;t out just yet.
